When it comes to Avengers, every fan has his favorite and we get it, each of them is pretty awesome in their own way. Some like Tony Stark because, when you count his charisma, good looks and IQ rating as such, he ‘s managed to become a superhero without really having any superpowers. Hulk also has a whole host of superfans because he’s this dorky scientist with a weird, big green alter ego. But let’s think about all the reasons why Thor is the strongest avenger, really.
1. He’s A God
Let’s start with the obvious. Thor is legitimately a god. Like, sure he looks human, but he’s the stuff of legends, he’s a full-blown god with special powers, super strength and knowledge beyond what any human can imagine. While most Earth superheroes have come in contacts with some pretty weird things, none of them knows as much about the universe as Thor.
2. He’s Hot AF
It’s difficult to tell if Thor is so beautiful because he’s a god, but you can’t deny the fact he’s been blessed with some really godly looks. The muscular build, the golden hair, that accent and that charming personality are simply out of this dimension. It’s a wonder that we have a human being playing him, are we really sure that Chris Hemsworth is alive?
3. He’s Funny
Thor is often portrayed as a bit slow, understanding certain things takes him a while and this often leads to comic situations. You could say that’s hardly an achievement, but we see Thor becoming more self-aware throughout the films and only benefiting from that is his sense of humor.
4. He’s Loyal
His loyalty is essentially a force in itself. We see Thor struggling with it a lot because, on the one hand, he loves humans and protects them with everything he has, but on the other hand, he is still loyal to his family and no matter how evil Loki gets, Thor still feels for him and continues to give him second chances, even if that means he’ll get hurt again and again.
5. He’s Determined
Few Avengers are as resolute as Thor. You may say he’s stubborn but it works for his advantage. If he’s set his mind to do something he really becomes invincible, and though he doesn’t achieve his target on the first attempt he’ll keep attempting again and again. He has absolutely nothing to lose.
6. He’s Super Friendly
He may be the odd one out of the Avengers because he is obviously not of this universe, but instead of being rude and treating humans as anything below him, he treats them as fair, and is generally a very nice person to be around.
7. He’s The Strongest
Although you don’t always have to be super powerful in order to be an Avenger, and in some situations, you can only outsmart your rivals, power comes very often in handy. And while we first assumed that all of Thor’s power lies in his Hammer, we now realize he’s actually stronger than Hulk and that’s pretty amazing given their gap in height.
8. He Speaks Groot
And we figured we ‘d add this just for the giggles as another explanation why Thor’s the greatest Avenger. Groot is loved by all but few can understand him. Thor is the best because in an foreign and intergalactic world, he can speak multiple languages making him a perfect person to have around. We also love that the explanation Groot gave for comprehension is because he learned the language in school as an elective.
